Training equipment for young kickboxing group
Promoting team spirit with new equipment

Many of our employees are active outside the office as volunteers in sports or animal welfare associations, social institutions or religious communities. We want to support this commitment through financial and material donations. Since 2023, employees have therefore been able to apply for funding for their projects twice a year. Through our heart projects, we have been able to support almost 50 different projects.
One project we implemented last year is the support of Sportgemeinde Weilimdorf e.V. For three years, more than 70 children and young people have been training in the kickboxing and self-defense group of the sports association in Stuttgart. The group is growing steadily and has an international character: children of different nationalities train here – including German, Ukrainian, Azerbaijani, Turkish, Croatian and Russian children. Many of the participants are refugee children from war zones or come from low-income families. In training, they find community, strengthen their self-confidence and discover new perspectives through sport.
The group was founded by our colleague Denys, who built up and organized the kickboxing and self-defense department. Through his commitment, the group was able to join the international kickboxing association World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO) and develop further athletically. The first successes were not long in coming: at the WAKO Kickboxing State Championship 2025, the young team won a total of 12 medals – 2 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze medals. These results show how much potential is in the group.
As the group grows, requirements increase as well. Sports equipment such as gloves, helmets and shin guards, as well as competition participation, are cost-intensive. As part of our heart projects, we therefore made €450 available to the association – which allowed us to repair or replace old training materials as well as provide new equipment. The children and young people of the sports association can now train in even more diverse ways.
Denys' heart project demonstrates the positive effects that arise when commitment, team spirit and the desire to help come together. Our efforts not only provide concrete support for clubs and institutions, but also promote strong unity. We are grateful to all employees who, through their time, energy and ideas, contribute to enabling us to make a valuable contribution to social responsibility together.
