Responsibility for Employees and Society
Table of contents
Social responsibility is a central component of our sustainable actions. Through targeted measures, we strengthen fair working conditions and strive for modern solutions for the working world. With great conviction, we support various social institutions and non-profit associations both regionally and nationally.
S1 | Own workforce
As a network of owner-managed IT service providers, we work in flat hierarchies and on an equal footing. Currently, the Medialine Group employs staff from over 30 nations. Equal opportunities are central to us – regardless of age, gender, origin, sexual orientation, or physical characteristics. The General Equal Treatment Act forms the basis of every personnel decision.
We are aware that the IT industry is a male-dominated environment. Currently, our female quota is around 23.2%. We want to specifically increase this value – through active measures to address female professionals and through training initiatives for young women. Moreover, we are working on an internal women's network to promote communication between women in our group and strengthen their visibility.
We deliberately invest in the further education of our employees. With the Medialine Group Academy, we have established our own knowledge platform that is continuously expanded in collaboration with team leaders, champions, and partners. There, training courses and seminars are available independently of location and time. Additionally, we use external training courses and certificate programs, participation in which is supported through the variable salary component. Furthermore, all employees receive a basic training in communication and collaboration.
Education has high priority for us. Ten of our locations are officially recognized as training companies, with over 35 employees possessing a trainer qualification certificate. We currently employ 75 trainees, working students, and dual study students. On average, we take on approximately 25 new trainees each year. In 2025, 18 new trainees will start or have already begun their training with us. We continuously work on increasing the number of our trainees to pave the way into our industry for young people and successfully integrate them into our group after graduation. A special focus is placed on our youth performance center in Cologne, where 8 trainees are completing their training.
Moreover, we place a focus on the health of our employees. Our offices are exclusively equipped with ergonomic desk chairs and height-adjustable desks. The kitchen offers free cold and hot beverages, and weekly changing fruit baskets provide vitamin power in between. All employees have access to a rich sports offering at discounted rates through our partnership with Urban Sports Club.
Home office and flexible working hours are a matter of course for us – as is a workation program: Employees can work at any Medialine location for up to 4 weeks per year. This ensures variety and allows for intensifying collegial contact. A cost subsidy is provided to support travel and accommodation expenses.
Transparent and constructive communication forms our basis for satisfied employees and sustainable corporate success. To further promote the satisfaction of our employees, praise and criticism can be expressed at any time through an anonymous survey. This survey is regularly evaluated and appropriate measures are taken. Additionally, a leadership feedback is conducted once a year, in which employees can provide feedback about their superiors.
S2 | Workers in the value chain
We work with manufacturers, distributors, and service providers who meet our sustainability requirements. A systematic supplier evaluation helps us to identify social and regulatory risks early on. For freelance and project-related employees, clear selection criteria regarding qualifications and working conditions also apply.
S3 | Social Environment
Engagement in social projects is of particular importance to us – whether through donations, sponsorships, or active participation. We support regional and national projects in the areas of children, sports, and education, as well as selected international initiatives.
Additionally, employees have the opportunity twice a year to submit their own projects for support. As part of our "Heartfelt Projects", we support associations and institutions where our employees are volunteering through monetary and in-kind donations. Since the introduction of the Heartfelt Projects in 2023, we have already been able to support almost 50 projects.

S4 | Consumers and end users
As a service provider in the B2B market, our service offering is not directly aimed at individual end users, but our customers represent the central consumer group for us. We place great importance on protecting our customers' personal data. We ensure strict compliance with GDPR requirements and proactively request consent for information. To continuously improve the quality of our services, we regularly capture customer feedback through structured satisfaction surveys. The feedback is systematically recorded and evaluated and flows directly into the further development of our processes and services to sustainably increase customer satisfaction.

Our Sustainability Stories
Our colleagues at CYBERDYNE have already planted over 3,000 seedlings in the past three years. The annual team event not only supports reforestation, but also fosters a genuine sense of community.
More infoTwice a year, our employees have the opportunity to submit projects that are close to their hearts. Thanks to Marie's commitment, we were able to provide food for around 150 animals at the Birkenhof farm run by the Frankfurt Animal Welfare Association.
More infoWe have been working closely with the Rhineland-Palatinate State Hunting Association on various animal and species conservation projects since 2021. One of these projects involves the use of thermal imaging drones to prevent mowing losses. Fawn rescue shows how modern technology can provide direct assistance for animal welfare and is therefore particularly important to us.
More infoTwice a year, our employees have the opportunity to submit their own heart projects. Thanks to Denys' commitment, we were able to procure new training equipment for the athletes of Sportgemeinde Weilimdorf e.V.
